Description:

After three years of construction, the first renovation phase of the Deutsches Museum in Munich is complete: This means that 20 exhibitions of the world's largest museum of its kind are once again accessible to the public. Since its opening in 1925, the museum attracts 1.5 million visitors annually with its approximately 28,000 exhibits.

Given the outdated building fabric of the collection building, extensive refurbishment was essential. The modernisation of doors was a key focus due to current fire protection requirements. In this context, Lindner played a central role with its Interior Fit-out and Furnishings division: Around 300 specially manufactured object doors, including soundproof and fire-resistant doors, have been installed. These impress with their attractive appearance in white, black, and genuine oak wood veneer, and, in combination with FIREwood panels and F90 glazing, provide optimal protection in the event of a fire.

In addition, the Lindner SE | Fit-out South-Southwest Germany provided high-quality interior construction work at the Deutsches Museum: from ceiling and wall coverings to complex 3D ceiling constructions. Lindner room-in-room systems complement the fit-out services and enable flexible room design.
