Description

Project: LNG Tanker 575
Description:

The tanker was built for the Dutch shipping company Anthony Veder (Rotterdam). The LNG gas tanker is used to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) and has a length of approx. 163.86 metres, a width of 24.50 metres and a cargo capacity of 18,000 m³. The gas tanker is equipped with an environmentally friendly dual-fuel engine and also has auxiliary engines that are operated exclusively with LNG. Operation with liquid natural gas results in extremely low emission values, making this ship one of the most environmentally friendly of its kind. The LNG tanks were insulated with prefabricated PUR/PIR panels in a 2-layer design. For this purpose, the outer panel could already be supplied with a colour-coated steel plate. In the course of planning, all panels and contraction joints were placed on the tank surface by means of 3D rendering. This allowed on-site adjustment work and waste to be reduced to a minimum.
