| Description: | The new library building arose in the center of the "Campus Stadtmitte" and merges various university libraries. A total area of 20.000 square metres provides 700 picking tables and workspaces. 78 kilometers of shelves supply space for a total of 2,4 million media. These special conditions require high-load bearing capacities of the floor - in some areas there are also intelligent heating and cooling systems integrated in the floor cavity which regulate the room climate to optimal values. |
