Description: | The new headquarters of the Saudi Electricity Company are based in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh. The architects of Omrania & Associates considered the challenges that the sole provider of energy in the Kingdom will face on a long-term perspective in their architectural concept: It takes the economic, social, environmental, and cultural fields of sustainability into account. Furthermore, it offers highly efficient, flexible and easily adaptable work environments for up to 190 employees per floor. Four single office buildings enclose a central construction which has a green space on its roof and functions as a meeting point for the employees. That way, it encourages the interchange between the different areas of the company. Lindner Group added a large amount of wooden doors, glass doors and aluminium tubular frame doors to the project. Moreover, the glass partition system Lindner Life 620 was realised in standard construction and as a customised version. Besides, the double-glazed partition system Life 622 and the partition systems Lindner Logic 100 and Free 900 were implemented. The project is completed by the raised floor system LIGNA which was implemented on a large scale. |
