The United World College in Freiburg is the 13th of 15 Colleges worldwide and cooperatively run by the Deutsche Stiftung UWC (German foundation UWC) and the Robert Bosch Stiftung. As a part of their studies, students of all nationalities, ethnicities and social classes live and learn together at the UWC for two years. Come the end of their studies, graduates receive the Interational Baccalaureate. In the course of the establishment of the UWC, a former monastic complex was refurbished and complemented with new constructions. Among these new constructions are an extensive residential complex for teachers and students, and a building which houses the canteen and auditorium of the College. The auditorium was fitted with high-quality floor systems by Lindner. These systems were applied both as a standard hollow floor and as a tribune construction. The auditorium features a warm wooden design mirrored by its floor. |
